Growing up in the heart of speed in Daytona Beach, Florida, Philip Cunningham has always had the “need for speed” running through his blood. Although he began by driving a Spec Miata in 2015 and flying by at Sebring International Raceway, he didn’t truly start his career until 2019.
Since the beginning of 2019, Philip has raced at prominent racetracks such as Watkins Glen International, Virginia International Raceway, Daytona International Speedway, Sebring International Raceway, Homestead-Miami Speedway, and many more. At Charlotte Motor Speedway, he won his first two poles as well as his first majors race. He continued his position at the Regional Enduro at Homestead-Miami Speedway with another 1st place.
Despite a complication, Philip was still able to secure 2nd place at the 24-Hour Classic at Daytona International Speedway. He came in 1st place and 2nd place at the Hoosier SCCA Super Tour in Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta. With the end of 2019, Philip placed 1st place in 7 out of 7 Regional races in the Southeast Division SCCA Class T-3.
